Some of the dialogue seems to change depending on what you did in the past though. Although there are some choices given to the player to advance the dialogue, there aren’t any drastical consequences in gameplay. Some of these dialogues result in funny scenes, but there’s also a certain amount of seriousness added in when the characters talk about the war and its cruel consequences. This is where the VN part revolves around: getting to know your (female) grunts, learn who they are, what they like and why they fight.
